Meanwhile, hedged equity, macro, and emerging market managers helped the Top 50 funds add nearly two full percentage points during the quarter. This select group outperformed the BarclayHedge average hedge fund return by 2.3% through the first 9 months of 2021, narrowing the amount by which it trails the market.
